Two Men Charged – Sexual Assault – Nightcliff

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged two males following an alleged sexual assault in Nightcliff.

Detective Senior Constable Megan Burke from the Sex Crimes Unit said the incident occurred on the corner of Oleander Street and Progress Drive in the early hours of Sunday 22 March.

“It is alleged that two males assaulted a 43-year-old female, before the victim fled and flagged down passing motorists who notified Police.”

Two men aged 18 and 33 were later arrested and charged with sexual intercourse without consent and gross indecency, both were remanded in custody.

The 33-year-old will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 2 April.

The 18-year-old will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
