Police are seeking public assistance in relation to an alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old female.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Derek Maurice said the alleged incident occurred on Bagot Road near the over pass on Saturday 4 April at approximately 7:00pm.

“It is alleged the female was walking across an oval when she was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted by an unknown male.

“We are asking anyone with any information or anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously around the area on Saturday night to contact Police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
