A 48-year-old male has been charged following an aggravated assault on Wednesday night.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Matt Akers from the Serious Crime Squad said Police arrested the male following the stabbing of a 47-year-old female at Vesteys Beach.

He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today charged with aggravated assault and use of a controlled weapon.
