Strike Force Vega Arrest Two Youth - Alice Springs

Detectives from Strike Force Vega have charged two male youths with property offences following two separate unlawful entries in Alice Springs earlier this month.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said Police allege a 14-year-old male unlawfully entered a recreational centre in The Gap between 6 and 7 April.

“Police alleged he stole $13 worth of food and caused around $1,200 worth of damage.

“The youth was arrested yesterday and charged with unlawful entry – building, damage to property and stealing.

“He will appear in Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on Tuesday 21 April 2015.

“In a separate incident a 17-year-old male allegedly unlawfully entered a residence in Araluen on 12 April and stole a backpack and alcohol.

“He was arrested by Police yesterday and charged with unlawful entry - dwelling and stealing.”

He was bailed to appear in Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on 1 May 2015.
