Strike Force Trident have charged a 19-year-old man following an alleged robbery in Coconut Grove.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the alleged offender approached a 33-year-old man outside a business on Bagot Road at around 7:15pm on Tuesday.

“Police alleged the offender threatened the man with a pair of scissors and demanded cash. The offender fled with a small amount of money.

“He was located by Police in Millner a short time later and arrested.”

He was charged with:

Aggravated robbery

Aggravated assault

Going armed in public

He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
