A 38-year-old male and a 29-year-old woman were arrested by Warakurna Police in Western Australia on Saturday 25 April in relation to outstanding warrants in Northern Territory and South Australia.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said Warakurna Police acted on information provided by the Cross Border Domestic Violence Intelligence Desk.

“This is a great example of how Police and Intelligence Analysts from South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory are working closely together to ensure that violent offenders are located and arrested from anywhere in the cross border region.

“With the assistance of the Cross Border DV Intelligence Desk, Police will continue to closely monitor the movements of domestic violence offenders across the Northern Territory and beyond our borders.”

The 29-year-old woman was arrested in relation to outstanding warrants in the Northern Territory and South Australia for assault and breach of bail.

The 38-year-old man was arrested in relation to the alleged assault of his partner and another woman as well as breach of Domestic Violence Order in South Australia.

They will appear in Warakurna Court Wednesday 29 April.
