Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a 45-year-old woman following an alleged aggravated assault in Tennant Creek overnight.
Detective Sergeant Kieron Weller from the Tennant Creek Investigation Unit said Police attended the incident just after 8:00pm.
“It appears an altercation has occurred between two females, resulting in a 36-year-old woman being stabbed.
“She was airlifted to the Alice Springs Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. She is currently in a stable condition.”
The alleged offender was arrested and charged with unlawfully cause serious harm and breach of a domestic violence order.
She is expected to appear in Tennant Creek Court later today.
