Methamphetamine Seized – Adelaide River

Police

Police have charged a 32-year-old male with drug offences following a traffic apprehension in Adelaide River.

Senior Constable Brendon Hogan said just before 11:00am on Sunday Police pulled over a white Toyota Hilux travelling north along the Stuart Highway approximately 1km south of the Adelaide River township.

“Upon search of the vehicle, Police located 6.3 grams of methamphetamine concealed in a loaf of bread.

“The offender was arrested and charged with possess and supply methamphetamine – traffickable quantity.

“He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on the 18 May.

“Northern Territory Police will continue to interrupt the transportation of dangerous drugs into the Northern Territory and keep the community safe.”
