Strike Force Vega have charged three youths with a number of property offences following an unlawful entry in Alice Springs.

Detective Superintendent Brent Warren said two females aged 12 and 16 and a 13-year-old male unlawfully entered a residence in Gillen at around 11pm Tuesday.

“Police allege the youth’s stole cigarettes, cash, a sleeping bag, car keys and a Toyota Corolla and drove the vehicle around Alice Springs.

“Police located the youths with the vehicle in the CBD a short time later and they were arrested.

“The three youths were charged with unlawful entry, criminal damage, stealing and aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

“The 16-year-old female will appear in Alice Springs Youth Justice Court on 8 May. The two other youths will appear in court on 11 May.”
