Cannabis and Alcohol Seized - Cullen Bay

Police have seized 112 grams of cannabis after screening passengers at Cullen Bay yesterday morning.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski said members from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad also located drug paraphernalia and a bottle of spirits.

“If sold in a remote community Police estimate the cannabis could have fetched around $11,200.”

Two men aged 25 and 32 were charged with:

Possess cannabis – trafficable quantity

Unlawfully supply cannabis to another

Possess thing to administer a dangerous drug

They will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 23 July.

“Police will continue to target those who supply and traffic illicit substances into our communities. If you intend to take cannabis or any illicit substances into remote communities, expect to be caught,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Malogorski said.
