Police are concerned for the welfare of 11-year-old girl, Melanie Giles who was last seen yesterday in Alice Springs.

Watch Commander Darrell Kerr said Police were notified when she failed to return to family she was staying with in Alice Springs.

“Alice Springs Police have checked all known locations to her and are asking the public for assistance.

“Melanie is described as 11-year-old, Indigenous female, dyed yellow and blonde hair, tall for her age and appears older, wearing long tights.

Anyone who may have seen Melanie or know of her whereabouts should call Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
