Bass in the Grass - Darwin

Police

Police will have a strong presence at this year’s Bass in the Grass music festival held at the Darwin Amphitheatre on Saturday.

Acting Commander Daniel Shean said Police will be out in force and will utilise Drug Detector Dogs to prevent illicit substances from entering the venue.

“Police expect around 7,500 people to attend the event and the message is simple enjoy yourself but be responsible.”

- It is important to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water.

- Look after your mates, Emergency Services and Police are nearby if you require assistance.

- We encourage everyone to have a good time but if you are drinking alcohol- please drink responsibly.

- If you do plan on taking illicit drugs into the venue expect to be caught.

“Police are committed to seeing a safe and drug free event at this year’s Bass in the Grass and will take a zero tolerance approach to anyone engaging any anti-social; behaviour or illegal activity,” Commander Daniel Shean said.
