Property Offences - Three Men Charged - Wulagi

Detectives from Strike Force Trident have charged three males following an alleged unlawful and theft of a vehicle in Wulagi over the weekend.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer said the three males aged 19, 20 and 22 unlawfully entered the residence early Sunday morning, 31 May.

"Police allege the males stole an iPhone, iPad, wallet, cash and a Mitsubishi ASX valued at $40,000.

“The vehicle was located at a shopping centre car park in Karama later that day. Members from Strike Force Trident the Dog Operation Unit and General Duties arrested the three males in Karama.”

Police also allege the 22-year-old unlawfully entered a high school in Berrimah on 23 May, he was charged with:

Aggravated unlawful entry (x2)

Stealing (x2)

Damage to property

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

Drive unlicensed

Police allege the 20-year-old also stole a pair of sunglasses from a shop in Casuarina on 30 March, he was charged with:

Stealing (x2)

Aggravated unlawful use

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

Drive unlicensed

The 19-year-old was charged with:

Aggravated unlawful entry

Stealing

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

They were remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
