Five Charged in Remote Blitz - Ali Curung

Ali Curung Police charged five people for a variety of offences and outstanding warrants.

Acting Superintendent Des Green of the Tennant Creek and Barkly Division said the arrests were carried out as part of Strike Force Disruptor, a policing initiative aimed at reducing assaults against a person and property crime across the Tennant Creek & Barkly Region.

“The arrests carried out in Ali Curung were swift and well-coordinated.

“The Barkly Region can expect to see similar policing operations occur over the next few days as we do our best to keep the community safe,” Acting Superintendent Green said.

47-year-old female charged with discharge firearm to frighten.

Bailed to appear in Ali Curung Court 8 July.

32-year-old male is charged with Aggravated assault.

Remanded to appear in Tennant Creek Court in June.

18 -year-old male is charged with Aggravated assault and Breach of bail.

Bailed to appear in Ali Curung Court 8 July.

23 -year-old male is charged with Drive motor vehicle while disqualified.

Bailed to appear in Tennnat Creek Court 4 June.

42 -year-old male is charged with Drive high range and Breach of bail.

Remanded to appear in Tennant Creek Court 4 June.
