Call for witnesses – Assault – Darwin CBD

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an alleged assault in the Darwin CBD.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Kren said the alleged incident occurred between 8:00pm and midnight on Tuesday in the Cavanagh Street car park.

“It is alleged a 25-year-old female was walking through the car park when she was approached by two males and assaulted.

“Following the incident, a passer-by located the victim in distress and contacted Police.

“She was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital.”

The two men are described as:

Offender 1: being of Indigenous appearance, and of a slim build. He was wearing a red shirt, long blue jeans, boots and a black hat.

Offender 2: being of Indigenous appearance, and of a slim build, with black curly hair. He was wearing a white singlet, black shorts, no shoes and black sunglasses on top of his head.

“We are asking anyone who may have been in the area between 8:00pm Tuesday 2 June and 1:00am Wednesday 3 June, or anyone with any information at all to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000,” said Detective Sergeant Kren.
