Charges – Unlawful Entry – Leanyer

Strike Force Trident have arrested two men, aged 25 and 26, following an unlawful entry in Leanyer on Wednesday.

Police allege that the men entered a residence and stole property including two iPhones.

“Using the ‘Find My iPhone’ app, the phones were traced to an address in Leanyer on Thursday afternoon, where the men were located,” said Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer.

“A 26-year-old man tried to evade Police by jumping from a first floor window. Members pursued him on foot and he was apprehended nearby.”

A number of stolen items were recovered from the property.

The 26-year-old male was charged with Resist Arrest, Supply Dangerous Drug, Unlawful Possession x 2, Aggravated Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle, Drive Unlicensed, Unlawful Entry, Criminal Damage and Stealing.  

He will be attending Darwin Magistrates Court later this afternoon.

The 25-year-old male was charged with Possess Methamphetamine, Possess Implement to Administer a Dangerous Drug and Breach of Bail.

He will be attending Darwin Magistrates Court later today.
