Drug and Organised Crime detectives have charged a 23-year-old male and a 17-year-old female with drug offences following an operation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the Darwin community.
Acting Superintendent Clint Sims said just before 5:00pm yesterday Police witnessed the pair meeting in a Darwin car park and conducted a search of their vehicle.
“As a result of the search Police located 14 grams of methamphetamine (ice), $5000 in cash, digital scales and a small quantity of cannabis.”
The male was charged with:
- Supply methamphetamine
- Supply methamphetamine to a child
- Possess methamphetamine - trafficable quantity
- Possess cannabis
- Possess tainted property
He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
The female will appear in Youth Justice Court today charged with possess and supply methamphetamine
