Robbery - Public Assistance Sought - Alice Springs

Alice Springs Police are seeking public assistance in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at a service station in Sadadeen last night.

Senior Constable First Class Gavin Hopwood said the offender entered the service station on Spearwood Road at around 7pm and approached the attendant at the counter.

“The offender then threatened the attendant with a knife and demanded cash. The attendant handed over a quantity of cash and the offender fled the premises on foot. He was seen heading in the direction of Laver Court, Sadadeen.

“The male offender is described as being 170cm tall and medium build, he was wearing a black hooded jacket, balaclava and gloves and ways carrying a cream coloured bag.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or anyone with any further information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
