Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an alleged hit and run which occurred in Alice Springs last night.

Detective Acting Sergeant Shaun Hohn of Southern Investigations Division said one female and two males were crossing the road on Swartz Crescent, near Anzac Hill access road at around 10:45pm, when the two males were struck by a vehicle.

“After the collision, the vehicle did not stop and drove off in the direction of the Todd River, Sturt Terrace.

“The vehicle is described being a small to medium size of silver or light colour.

“Both men received treatment at Alice Springs Hospital for injuries.

“Police are asking anyone in the area of Swartz Crescent at around 10:45pm last night who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information to call Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
