NT Police are calling for witnesses in relation to the alleged indecent assault of a 51-year-old woman which occurred on Undoolya Road footbridge at around 3.00pm yesterday.

Superintendent Peter Malley of Southern Investigations Division said the woman was walking across the footbridge when she was allegedly indecently assaulted by a male who then fled the area.

“The male is described as being of Indigenous appearance, skinny build, approximately 178cm tall, well groomed, wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and dark pants.

Police urge anyone in the area yesterday who may have witnessed the incident or may have seen someone matching the description to call Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
