Unlawful entry arrest - Tennant Creek

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged following three separate break-ins at separate licenced premises in Tennant Creek.

Superintendent Des Green said the male allegedly forced his way into the buildings on 3, 8 and 9 July.

“The owner of one business stayed on location following the unlawful entry on 8 July and in the early hours of 9 July he confronted the male and nearby Police arrested him shortly after.

“In total, Police allege the male stole three bottles of wine and 18 cans of beer and spirits.”

Superintendent Green said the male was charged with three counts of unlawful entry, two counts of damage to property and two counts of stealing.

“Police will continue to work closely with the community to manage property related crime and ensure those who offend are promptly arrested.”
