Detectives from Southern Investigation Section are investigating an alleged sexual assault in Alice Springs early this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Dash said Police allege that a 37-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the vicinity of Schwarz Crescent and the Stuart Highway some time before 6:00am.

“Police urge anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at this time or anyone with any information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
