The Northern Territory road toll has risen to 37 after the death of a driver involved in a single vehicle accident on Thursday night.

The 43-year-old man died in Royal Darwin Hospital after the accident on the Cox Peninsula Road near Berry Springs.

The road toll for the same time last year was 29.
