Detectives from Major Crime Squad and the Southern Investigation Division are travelling to Tennant Creek to investigate the suspicious death of a person.

Detective Superintendent Chris Board said the body was located at a location commonly known as Peko Dam late this morning and at this stage the victim’s identity is unknown.

“Police urge anyone who has been to Peko Dam in the past fortnight or if anyone has a friend or relative who has not been seen recently that is known to frequent the area to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
