Northern Territory Police are concerned for the welfare of missing 28-year-old man Allan Nadjamerrek.

Sergeant Robert DeVos said Mr Nadjamerrek travelled from Pine Creek to Gunbalanya by vehicle on Saturday 3 October with two other people.

“The vehicle broke down on the Kakadu Highway near the Cooinda turnoff late in the afternoon. The group decided stayed at Jim Jim Ranger Station overnight.

“Sometime during the night Mr Nadjamerrek has walked off in an unknown direction and has not been seen since.

“Police were notified that Mr Nadjamerrek was missing last night and extensive searches have been conducted today in the vicinity of Jim Jim Ranger Station and nearby outstations.

“Mr Nadjamerrek is deaf and was last seen wearing a West Coast Eagles jersey and light coloured shorts.

“Police urge anyone with information or anyone who knows the whereabouts of Mr Nadjamerrek should contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
