Northern Territory Police arrested a 41-year-old man in the early hours of this morning on a number of offences.
The man was driving WA-registered vehicle on Maningrida Road at about 4:30am when apprehended by Police.
“On searching the vehicle, police seized 35 cans of beer, a bottle of whiskey and a 223 bolt action rifle,” said Commander Tony Fuller.
“The man was arrested and later provided a breath analysis reading of 0.221.”
He will appear in court in Maningrida today charged with:
- Drive High Range Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Bring / Consume / Possess Liquor in a Alcohol Protected Area
- Possess / Use Firearm While Intoxicated
- Drive Unregistered / Uninsured
