Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to an alleged assault in Fannie Bay.

Detective Sergeant Matt Akers said on Monday 2 November a 51-year-old male was found unconscious in a park on East Point Road, Fannie Bay with injuries consistent with an assault.

“Today members from the Serious Crime Section arrested a 24-year-old man in relation to the alleged assault. He is currently in custody assisting Police with enquiries.”

The investigation is ongoing and Police continue to call for anyone with any information to come forward.

"In particular we would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed any altercations in the Fannie Bay area between Sunday 1 November and 8am on Monday to contact us on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
