Two men aged 20 and 28 have been arrested in relation to two unlawful entries on the morning of November 11.

Senior Sergeant Mark Stringer from Strike Force Trident said the two men broke into a licensed premises in Nightcliff about 1:30am, before fleeing with a number of cans of alcohol.

“A short time later, the men broke in to another licenced premises in Rapid Creek where they allegedly stole more alcohol.

“Police located the two men a short time later still in possession of some of the stolen alcohol. They were both arrested.”

Senior Sergeant Stringer said the 28-year-old man was also wanted for unlawful entries dating back to January and May 2014 after DNA evidence taken from the two scenes matched an earlier crime.

“This is yet another example of how after committing this type of crime, you are likely to get caught – no matter how long ago it was committed,” he said.

  • Unlawful Entry – building (x4)
  • Stealing (x4)
