Northern Territory Police have charged a Gapuwiyak man with murder following the death of a man on the weekend.

“Detectives will allege the men, both aged 21, were involved in an altercation in Gapuwiyak in the early hours of Saturday morning in which the victim received a stab wound,” Detective Acting Superintendent Chris Board said.

“The victim was flown to Royal Darwin Hospital where he died the following night.”

A 21-year-old man has been charged with:

• Murder
• Armed with an Offensive Weapon at night (x 2)

He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Court of Summary Jurisdiction on Tuesday 17 November 2015 at 10:00am.
