Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following an aggravated robbery in the Darwin CBD early this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day from the Serious Crime Squad said around 4:30am a female was walking to work when she was approached by a medium sized, dark coloured vehicle on Knuckey Street.

“A man has exited the vehicle, pushed the female to the ground before snatching her handbag and fleeing. He was last seen driving down Litchfield Street.

“He is described as being 185cm tall, of solid build with tanned skin and aged in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie with a light blue t-shirt over the top, knee-length shorts and runners.

“Police are calling for anyone with any information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
