The Cross Border Team in conjunction with South Australian Police have arrested a 31-year-old man on two outstanding warrants for aggravated assault.

Detective Sergeant Andy Bedwell of the Southern Investigation Division said that the man was wanted in South Australia for serious domestic violence offences.

“He is being transported from Alice Springs to South Australia to appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court later today.

“This is a great example of how the Cross Border Team is able to apprehend offenders who travel interstate in their efforts to evade Police. 

“Apprehending those who commit domestic violence will continue to be a priority for the Northern Territory Police and the Cross Border Team,” Detective Sergeant Bedwell said.
