Drugs, Fireworks and Cash Seized – Darwin

Drug and Organised Crime Squad Detectives together with members of the Dog Operations Unit executed two search warrants in the Darwin rural area last Friday, 4 December.

The warrants resulted in the seizure of 750 grams of cannabis, fireworks, ecstasy, steroids and $129,540 cash.

A 31-year-old male was charged with the following offences and granted bail to appear at the Darwin Magistrates Court today:

  • Possess cannabis –  trafficable quantity
  • Possess dangerous drug  – trafficable quantity
  • Receive property – commission of offence
  • Cultivate a prohibited plant – cannabis

“This is a significant amount of money seized by NT Police,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Malogorski said. 

“NT Police will continue to target suppliers of dangerous drugs in the streets of Darwin and the Northern Territory.”
