Missing Person – Lajamanu

Police

Northern Territory Police hold immediate concerns for the welfare of 57-year-old Dennise Robertson.

Dennise was last seen by family during the afternoon of Tuesday 15 December in the Lajamanu Community. She is described as being a woman of Aboriginal appearance, about 5’ 3” (160cm) tall, of a medium build with long black and grey hair. She was last seen wearing a bright pink singlet and floral skirt with black shoes and white socks.

Northern Territory Police officers together with local rangers and Northern Territory Emergency Service members have searched the area around where Dennise was last seen. Searches will continue throughout today using a helicopter and the arrival of Officers from the Territory Response Group.

“Police hold concerns for Dennise as she relies on daily medication, which she may not have access to. Her family have told local Police that it is out of character for Dennise to be out of contact for any length of time,” said Superintendent Stephen Heyworth.

“We’re urging any friends or family that have information about her whereabouts to contact Police so we can locate her and confirm her welfare.

“Anyone who may have information about her whereabouts or who has seen her since Tuesday 15 December is asked to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
