A 47-year-old man has been charged with Arson after allegedly setting fire to a vehicle.

The victim called police after finding his Great Wall utility fully engulfed at his Marrakai property about 11am Monday.

Police attended and the man was arrested without incident.

He was charged with:

• Arson
• Threats to burn or explode

He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
