Call for Public Assistance – Hit and Run – Ludmilla

Police

Northern Territory Police are continuing their investigations into the circumstances around a fatal hit and run on New Year’s Eve.

“We would like to speak with a group of young women who caught a taxi into the city at 10:40pm on the night of the incident,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Tony Henrys said.

“The four young women, aged in their late teens or early 20s, caught a taxi from a bus stop near the corner of Dick Ward Drive and Travers Street, Coconut Grove, into Mitchell Street.

“We believe these women may have information that would assist our investigation and ask them – or anyone who knows them – to contact Police on 131 444 or they can drop into their local Police Station.”

The taxi company provided Police with CCTV images of the women.

On New Year’s Day, Police charged a 25-year-old man with the hit and run death of the 37-year-old pedestrian.
