Man Charged - Stealing - Marrara

Northern Territory Police have charged a 39-year-old man following an unlawful entry in Marrara.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said the unlawful entry occurred on 11 January 2016.

“It is alleged the male unlawfully entered the residence around 730am and stole a quantity of property including electrical goods and power tools.

“Unfortunately for the male, the owner of the residence had a number of CCTV cameras installed around the property. The footage was handed over to Police and posted on various social media forums, resulting in a number of calls from the public.

“The male was quickly identified and arrested yesterday afternoon at a residence in Humpty Doo.”

He was charged with:

  • Unlawful entry
  • Stealing
  • Dangerous driving
  • Driving unlicensed
  • Driving unregistered

He will appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 2 February 2016.
