A scissor lift stolen from a construction site in Berrimah last April has been recovered.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland from Strike Force Trident said the scissor lift, worth an estimated $25,000 was stolen along with a box trailer between 7pm on April 21 and 6am on 22 April 2015.

“Yesterday, Police received information the lift had been stored at an address in Howard Springs,” he said.

“Strike Force Trident officers attended, and the owner of the property said a friend had dropped it off and was in the process of selling the lift.”

After confirming it was stolen, the lift was seized.

“The owners of the lift were very happy to have their lift back – especially since it had been gone for eight months,” A/Senior Sergeant Bland said.

A 32-year-old man will be charged with the offence.
