Detectives from the Northern Investigation Section are currently investigating the cause of a fire at a unit complex in Katherine.

Duty Superintendent Louise Jorgenson said Fire and Rescue crews attended to the fire on Power Crescent just after 1:00pm.

“The fire was contained to a single unit, which sustained significant damage. The unit and surrounding units in the complex have been abandoned and uninhabitable for a considerable period of time, as such no persons were living in this area.

“At this stage, it is unknown if the fire is suspicious.”
