Woman Charged – Aggravated Assault – Tennant Creek

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 35-year-old female following an alleged assault on a 37-year-old male in Tennant Creek.

Superintendent Kerry Hoskins said the incident occurred about 10:10pm on 1 February.

“The man was stabbed by the female several times after an altercation with another female.

“He was treated on the scene by St John ambulance members and conveyed to the Alice Springs Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.”

She has been charged with:

  • Intend Serious Harm, Cause Serious Harm
  • Unlawfully cause serious harm
  • Breaching a domestic violence order
  • Possessing a controlled weapon in a public place

He has been bailed to appear in Tennant Creek court on the 15 March 2016.
