Northern Territory Police have charged a 36-year-old man with indecent exposure following an incident in Alice Springs over the weekend.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Dash said the incident occurred just after 1:15pm on Sunday 7 February.

“It is alleged the male was stopped in a vehicle on Leichardt Terrace when he attempted to engage a passing female in conversation, before he exposed himself to her,” he said.

He has been charged with one count of Indecent Exposure and will appear in the Alice Springs court this afternoon.

“This type of behaviour will not be tolerated in our community,” Senior Sergeant Dash said.
