Charges – Drug Offences – Nightcliff

Northern Territory Police have charged a 41-year-old man following a search warrant at a Nightcliff Home yesterday.

Detective Acting Superintendent Janelle Tonkin said Police found about 2.5g of methamphetamine, a small amount of cannabis, as well as glass ‘ice’ pipes, scales, unused clip seal bags and $4170 cash.

The man was arrested and charged with:

  • Possess schedule 1 substance - traffickable quantity
  • Possess dangerous drug – cannabis
  • Possess tainted property – cash
  • Possess thing to administer dangerous drug

“Drug and Organised Crime Detectives will continue to target declared drug traffickers to ensure they cease their activities and stop the harm illicit drugs are causing our community,” Detective A/Superintendent Tonkin said.

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
