Charges – Unlawful Entries – Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged a 25-year-old man in relation to a string of unlawful entries dating back to March 2013.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland from Strike Force Trident said the man was identified in four separate offences.

“In March 2013, the man allegedly gained entry to a number of self-storage containers in Berrimah, where he stole a large amount of property,” he said.

“Then in October 2014, he broke into a transport company base in East Arm, where he allegedly stole diesel, lubricants and other work equipment to the value of $1700.

“Then in January 2015, he broke into a construction site in Muirhead, where he allegedly stole a large quantity of new kitchen appliances to the value of $16,585.

“Finally in October 2015 he allegedly filled a White Toyota Land Cruiser with $110 worth of diesel, before leaving without paying,” Detective Senior Sergeant Bland said.

He was arrested at a residence in Karama on Monday. He was charged with:

  • Damage to property (x3)
  • Unlawful entry – building
  • Unlawful entry – dwelling
  • Stealing (x4)
  • Trespass
He was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 22 June 2016.
