Drug and Cash Seizure - Karama

Northern Territory Drug and Organised Crime Detectives have charged a 29-year-old male in relation to a number of drug offences.

Detective Acting Superintendent Mark Stringer said the warrant was executed by Detectives early yesterday morning at a residence in Karama, resulting in the seizure of 3.4 kilograms of cannabis and more than $116,000 in cash.

"The male was subsequently arrested and remanded in Police custody overnight," Detective Stringer said. 

He will face Darwin Local Court today charged with:

Supply commercial quantity of Cannabis

  • Possession of Tainted Property
  • Possession of Commercial quantity of Cannabis

“Police will continue to be on the lookout for organised crime, so if you are thinking about trying to make a quick dollar from the sale of illicit drugs, think twice,” Acting Superintendent Stringer said.
