Man Charged – Aggravated Assault – Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged a 22-year-old man following two separate incidents of serious assault.

Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan from Strike Force Trident said Police will allege the offender assaulted two males on 14 and 16 June 2016.

“On 19 June the male was captured on CCTV trespassing onto an enclosed premises armed with a knife.

“He was arrested yesterday at a residence in Tiwi. At the time of his arrest he was found to be in possession of stolen property from two alleged unlawful entries around Darwin.”

He was charged with:

  • Aggravated assault (x2)
  • Trespass on enclosed premises (x2)
  • Attempt to commit a crime
  • Possess/carry/use controlled weapon at night
  • Aggravated unlawful entry (x2)
  • Stealing (x3)

He will appear in Darwin Local Court today.
