Call for Public Assistance - Armed Robbery - Winnellie

Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following an armed robbery at a service station in Winnellie overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan from Strike Force Trident said two males entered the service station this morning just after 12.30am armed with weapons.

“One of the males remained at the door as look out while the other led the service attendant to the cash register,” Detective Senior Sergeant Jordan said.

“The duo fled on foot with a small amount of cash, luckily the victim sustained no injuries throughout the ordeal.”

One of the offenders is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall and of skinny build. At the time of the offence he was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, long black trousers and a white hat with black sunglasses.

The other offender is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 160cm tall and of skinny build. He was last seen wearing a purple singlet with red edging, long black trousers and a black hat.
