Northern Territory Police have charged a 15-year-old male following the alleged assault of a female and the assault of a Police officer in Alice Springs yesterday.
Police were present when a disturbance occurred at an Alice Springs shopping centre about 12:00pm, and witnessed the male assaulting a 30-year-old woman.
Whilst attempting to stop the male assaulting the female, he physically assaulted an officer and a further two were injured attempting to take him into custody.
The male was arrested and charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault a member of the Police force
- Resist Police in execution of duty
He will appear in the Alice Springs Youth Court on 8 August 2016.
