Call for Public Assistance – Robbery – Darwin CBD

Northern Territory Police are calling for public assistance following a robbery in Darwin CBD.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Karl Day said the incident occurred yesterday just after 9:20pm on the corner of Mitchell Street and Peel Street.

“A male has been approached by another male, and assaulted before having a sum of cash stolen from him.

“The offender fled from the scene, leaving the victim quiet shaken. A passer-by came to his aid and contacted Police.”

Police want to speak with a man captured on CCTV running from the area.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance and medium build. At the time of the alleged offence he was wearing a white and black t-shirt, black shorts, black runners and a black beanie.
