Call for Witnesses – Jingili

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses to a series of incidents across the northern suburbs overnight.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan from Strike Force Trident said investigations were underway on an attempted robbery, two stolen cars and a ram raid at a Jingili bottle shop.

"A taxi driver was flagged down on McMillans Road shortly after 3am. When he refused to give two men a lift, one of the men brandished a firearm and asked for money. The driver refused and quickly left the scene," he said.

"Police later responded to a ram raid at a Jingili bottle shop involving two stolen cars, a white Hyundai hatch and a Silver Rav4.”

The two vehicles were later seen driving in a dangerous and aggressive manner to avoid Police.

Investigations are continuing as to whether the incidents are linked."
