Northern Territory Police have charged a 44-year-old man following a hit and run yesterday in Palmerston.

Detective Superintendent Travis Wurst said the man handed himself into Police yesterday about two hours after the incident.  

“Last night we located and seized the vehicle that the man was allegedly driving during at the time,” he said.

The man was charged with hit and run causing serious harm and a number of other traffic offences. He was remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Local Court this morning.
