Public Assistance Required Alice Springs

Police

Alice Springs Police are investigating an alleged indecent assault at a concert at Blatherskite Park on Friday night.

Police received a report that a 13-year-old female was assaulted while standing in the crowd near the front of the stage, between 8:00pm and 8:30pm.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley said that the girl was enjoying the concert with her friend when it is alleged a male aged in his 20s indecently assaulted her.

“The man is described as being Caucasian, tall with a slim build, dark hair swept to the side and a beard or dark stubble. He is believed to have been wearing dark coloured jeans and a jacket,” he said.

“It is believed that the male was in the company of an older Caucasian male with a bald or shaved head and a distinctive pointed beard that stuck out from the base of his chin.

“Police are interested in speaking with anyone who was in the vicinity during this time and who may have seen people matching these descriptions.”

Anyone with information is requested to contact Police on 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
